How We Met

We first met at Primera Iglesia Pentecostal of Spring Branch—our families have been close for years and our moms are best friends. Growing up, we shared birthday parties, church events, and countless moments together. After many years of friendship and time spent side by side, Chrystian realized he wanted more; Nancy, blissfully unaware of his feelings, kept living life until the day he finally made them known.

The Proposal

After two years and eight months of dating later, Chrystian worked with family to plan a surprise proposal just a week and five days before the wedding. Nancy didn’t know he’d arranged a lighted path strewn with petals leading to a giant heart bearing his favorite line, “It has always been you,” with their playlist playing softly. He knelt and said, “It has always been you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Nancy, will you marry me?” She smiled through happy tears and said yes before he could finish.

Why We’re Getting Married

We’re two kind-hearted, God-fearing, slightly stubborn Houstonians who balance each other perfectly. Nancy brings calm, compassion, and the best hugs; Chrystian brings adventure, spontaneity, and the ability to make her laugh even on the hardest days. Together we make each other better every single day. We can’t wait to celebrate with the people we love most on May 8 in Houston.
